Mrs. Manzano’s TAKS Camp
Next week (Feb. 25-29) our classroom will be transformed into TAKS camp. We have been working hard on strategies and skills to help us do well on the reading TAKS test on March 5, and it’s time to have some fun and put those skills to work. We’ll be completing a lot of passages to put together all we’ve learned this year.
Each day will have a theme to help us focus and be motivated to work hard. On Monday we will be making camp shirts. Please send a plain white t-shirt with your child that will fit over their uniform polo. We will be decorating the shirt and wearing them while we work during the week.
Also, if you have a tent or some camp chairs we could borrow for the classroom that would be great. The students are very excited about this week and we are looking forward to Knocking the Socks off TAKS!
